Entry Certificate in Business AnalysisTM (ECBA)
Business analysis involves discovering, synthesizing and analysing information from a variety of sources within an enterprise. Business analysts are responsible for eliciting stakeholder needs, and for determining underlying issues and causes. Activities that business analysts perform include understanding enterprise problems and goals, analysing needs and solutions, devising strategies, driving change, and facilitating collaboration among stakeholders.
The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) offers the Entry Certificate in Business AnalysisTM (ECBA) as a certification that recognizes individuals entering the field of business analysis.
The ECBATM certification is appropriate for individuals entering the profession, such as students enrolled in academic programs in business analysis, and for those who have newly graduated from such programs.
Experienced professionals who are transitioning into the role of a business analyst will benefit from benchmarking their knowledge, skills and competency using the ECBA certification.
The ECBATM certification is also useful to functional managers who do not themselves perform business analysis, but manage business analysts.
